Release-response rules

  • Revise a page within 10 business days when the IRS publishes a material form, instruction, fee, deadline, or procedural change.
  • Add an update note when a change affects taxpayer action, eligibility, documentation, or timing.
  • Archive obsolete instructions instead of silently blending old and new procedures.
  • Use a named credentialed reviewer only after identity and active credential status are verified.
